is a receptionist who assists patients with check-in and who communicates
regularly with family members about the patient's progress.
The
waiting area affords visitors comfortable seating, and complementary
coffee. Public phone booths and restrooms are available

Admission/Pre-op
Holding Area
The
pre-operative holding area is where patients are admitted, assessed
and prepared for surgery. Lockers are provided for your belongings
and the key follows you to the operating room.

Rooms
Our
operating rooms are fully equipped for all types of surgical procedures,
to deliver high quality surgical care and to monitor your safety
throughout your stay.

Stereotactic
Breast Imaging Room
The
SurgiCenter of Baltimore is equipped with a state of the art stereotactic
breast imaging machine which allows for minimally invasive breast
biopsies under stereotactic x-ray guidance

Phase
I PACU
The
PACU, or post anesthesia care unit, is the name of the room where
you will recover from your surgery and anesthesia. There are two
rooms where you will recover from surgery. They are called the
Phase I and Phase II areas. After leaving the operating room you
will be brought to the Phase 1 recovery area.

Phase
II PACU/Discharge Area
Once
you are sufficiently awake and comfortable, you will be transferred
to a recliner chair in the Phase 2 PACU /discharge area.
